A team of teachers and parents from Aqua Starsran the Race for Life at Pontefract Racecourse on Sunday 19 July.
Pontefract Park was transformed into a sea of pink as thousands of women completed the town’s annual Race for Life. Runners, united in their bid to beat cancer, walked or ran through the park, supported by friends and family who watched on from the sidelines. Organisers were hoping the event – which took place on Sunday – would raise more than £100,000 for Cancer Research UK. The event, run in partnership with Tesco, saw women from across the area take on either a 5k or 10k route around the park.
